Eight Paydays Till Christmas

Hi Folks

If you get paid fortnightly, then it is only 8 paydays till Christmas.

Christmas would have to be the most auspicious time for budgets getting smashed, credit cards going into meltdown and relationships stretched over money.  Please do not be one of these statistics this year.

How much do you need to spend on Christmas this year?  Divide that amount by 8 and keep that aside from each pay from now till Christmas and you will be able to achieve a credit card free holiday period.  I can clearly remember our first credit card free Christmas back in 2012 - we were euphoric!

So this is the very last post here on Mr Home Maker before we go live across at the new House Of Simple.  We head overseas this week for 5 weeks on a frugal adventure and when we return the new blog will go live ...... so in about 6 weeks.  I'll pop a short post here with the new link the instant HOS is live.

Take care folks - stay nice.

Phil

  8. Is it just you and Mrs Homemaker, going on holidays? That would be marvellous. Although my idea of a holiday, with the Mr, is working on the property and getting to eat lunch every day together. It's the one meal, we share the least. But it's the one we enjoy the most!

Looking foward to seeing your new blog, and how your holiday went. :)

  10. Hi Phil,

I must have missed this post, you snuck it in when I wasn't looking haha!

By now you will be enjoying your overseas trip, and I hope it is full of fun and adventures.

I am looking forward to when you get home and start posting at House of Simple (loved that name) once again. Your advice is really appreciated by many of us. Thank you for being so generous with your time and your knowledge.

    See you soon,
    xTania
