Food Pictures from Mr Home Maker's Place

A delicious cheesy chicken, cauliflower and broccoli bake.

.
Carved roast  lamb piping hot from the oven

Home made pan gravy and butter-fried white sweet potato
along with hot beans glazed with honey

Creamy curry chicken with brown rice and a garden salad.

Oven dry-baked potatoes.
Awaiting a knob of butter  or sour cream

Home made mint jelly from scratch.
We were being overrun with mint in the garden!

Did I mention that our biggest budget saving comes from cooking from scratch and eating at home?

Literally  $1000's better off every year. True story.

Take care and stay nice folks.

    1. I'm hopless at recipes - I cook out of my head as a rule.

  3. It looks amazing and you know exactly what you are eating. I’m not a fan of eating out so happy that I’m saving loads.

  4. Everything looks DELICIOUS! I calculated our dining-in savings, too. It came to 2418 dollars if the two of us ate three times per week at inexpensive restaurants. (Wow.)

    1. I should get organised and post recipes - we are not a very recipey family. Most of us cook from our heads with what we have available.

  9. Now I'm hungry for lunch. Unfortunately no delicious roast potatoes to munch on. Sigh. I do have some lovely fresh zucchini and cheese bread though so it'll have to do.
